ONX

ONX

The Olson Family has been committed to farming and real estate for over a century. With ONX Estate Winery, the family continues its farming activities much the same way their Scandinavian grandparents did more than 100 years ago. The Olson family is fully focused on continuing the tradition of making world renowned wines for generations to come.
In 2004, the Olson’s purchased property in Templeton that eventually became ONX Estate Vineyard. While preparing the vineyard land for planting, they discovered limestone and Calcite Onyx on the property, paving the way for the future name of the winery. The original prototype vineyard included a medley of Tempranillo, Grenache, Syrah, Mouvedre, Petit Sirah, and Zinfandel. With the addition of winemaker Brian Brown, who introduced micro-farming, more acres were planted. By 2008 the first wines were vinted in a mad crush, giving rise to the name of the original blend. Three other blends rounded out the “Core Four” and “Mad Crush”, Praetorian”, “Brash”, and “Reckoning” are still in production today.

Neely

Neely

At the northern boundary of the dense oak- and redwood-forested Santa Cruz Mountains, Spring Ridge Vineyard runs from the floor of Portola Valley up a ridge toward the top of Windy Hill. Starting in the early 1980s, vines were planted in the ridge’s shallow clay loam that rests on fractured sedimentary rock. The same vines we still harvest were planted block by block, down the ridge, starting with the Chardonnay sites that are now legendary: Home, Ampitheatre, and Bee blocks. Fog cradles the vineyards but never overwhelms them, and maritime breeze ofen courses down the slopes. From the very beginning viticulture at Spring Ridge has been careful and ecologically sensitive.
In 1995 the Neely family began stewarding the property, reimagining its commitment to viticulture and wine. By the early 2000s Pinot Noir plantings—Hidden, Upper Picnic, and Picnic blocks—further down the ridge completed the foundation for one of the most excellent and subtle vineyards in the appellation. A unique, small bi-level out- and indoor winery and cellar facility was completed in 2000, inititating an era of estate winemaking. Tending and harvesting grapes just a stroll from the cellar allows for low-key and masterful production of subtle, affecting vintages. Neely Wine continues to announce Spring Ridge as the home of a unique, terroir-driven project.

Borjon Winery

Borjon Winery

The Borjón family comes from the small town of Paracuaro in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. Isy’s parents Jesus and Nora Borjón arrived in the Shenandoah Valley over 30 years ago. Jesus began working in the vineyards doing every job imaginable while Nora was a stay at home mother with their three children. Eventually, Jesus and Nora had saved enough to start Borjón Labor Contracting and Vineyard Management in 1991. The Borjón’s had always enjoyed the taste of wine and had always dreamt of having a winery of their own. Seeing first hand the tremendous growth in the valley and the addition of so many wineries only added to the desire of one day being winery owners.
Essentially growing up on a vineyard, Isy was groomed for leadership. In 2005, at the age of only 19, he was handed the reigns to the families vineyard management business. That same year he started his own family marrying his beautiful wife Eliana. Taking what knowledge they had gained over years of working with vineyards and wineries, they selected some of the best grapes Amador County produces to create Borjón wines. With the help of his parents, Isy and Eliana opened the tasting room in May of 2009.

Light Horse

Light Horse

Light Horse is a nod to the American West and to the invaluable horses that helped settle this vast and untamed region of the country. These are the wines you’ll turn to everyday: classic, easy-drinking and fruit-forward California varietals that offer superior value and complement the foods you enjoy.
Light Horse wines are named in honor of our Jamieson Ranch miniature horses. These friendly “minis” are a distinct breed, no taller than 38 inches. When they are not working as service animals for people with disabilities, our “minis” can be found at our Napa Valley property where visitors are welcome to meet and interact with these endearing Jamieson Ranch Vineyards ambassadors.

R6 Distillery

R6 Distillery

On May 24, 1926 the six Rubens brothers opened the doors to what became known as the Rubens Rialto Square Theatre. A major undertaking in a small city at the time, the Rubens brothers hired a pair of Chicago-based architects, C.W. and George L. Rapp to execute their vision for a theatre that would rival any in the major cities. The result was a magnificent European inspired structure with an ornate exterior, and art filled decorum inside and out. Rob Rubens (4th generation) has always been amazed by what his family accomplished as entrepreneurs. The many stories Rob heard growing up, about the theatre during the Roaring 20’s and prohibition days, inspired Rob to leave the corporate world and continue the Rubens family tradition of taking your vision and making it reality.
They carry forward this family story at R6 DISTILLERY by producing spirits that embody the highest quality and by paying attention to every detail.

Tamarack Cellars

Tamarack Cellars

When you visit the winery, you won’t find them in a fancy chateau. Instead you’ll find yourself immersed in the everyday workings of a family-owned winery, racking, blending and bottling wine, in a renovated firehouse located in a World War II Army Air Base. Founded in 1998 by Ron and Jamie Coleman, Tamarack’s first vintage consisted of 300 cases of Merlot. The goal was to make elegant, balanced, delicious wines and offer them at a fair price. Years later, and now up to 20,000 cases each year, the focus remains the same.
Tamarack Cellars hand-crafts consistently outstanding wines for a great price. It’s about a passion for excellence. They buy grapes from the most renowned vineyards in Washington State and create their wines barrel by barrel. Tamarack’s wines offer a delicious expression of Washington vineyards’ style and elegance in every bottle.

Gouguenheim WInery

Gouguenheim WInery

Seventy kilometers from the city of Mendoza, in the foothills of the Andes Mountains, lays one of the best kept secrets in the Uco Valley, called GOUGUENHEIM WINERY. Several geographical and climate elements define the unique terroir. The vineyards are cultivated at an altitude of more than 3.600 feet (one of the highest estates in Mendoza). In a region that has a desert climate, they use melt water from the Andes Mountains carried by irrigation channels, through the alluvial soils. All these elements that are found in their estates, that allow the fruit ripening and concentration, come together, with the expertise and knowledge of their people to define their wines, and consistently produce top quality wines year after year. Gouguenheim wines develop great colors, aromas and flavours, with round tannins.
In 2002 Patricio Gouguenheim found a very old winery located in the Uco Valley, with a lot of small tanks ideal for the production of high quality wines, and that was the start of his venture in this wonderful, crazy business! He hung up his suit and tie, and started working in the great outdoors.

Cartlidge & Browne

Cartlidge & Browne

For Tony Cartlidge and Glen Browne, as with many great entrepreneurs and iconoclasts of the 20th century, the legend began in 1980 in an undistinguished Napa Valley garage. Cartlidge—a dreamer with a love of wine and a fondness for taking the road less traveled—and Browne—a man of great business sense and a small amount to invest—set out to build a wine company from scratch. As far as they could tell, there was no need (or, more to the point, not enough money) to buy an estate. Only a desire to seek out the best vineyards, harvest the best grapes and make the best wine possible.
Cartlidge scoured the appellations of the North Coast in his 1960 Rambler, from Napa to Sonoma to Mendocino to Lake, to source grapes farmed with care and concern for the land. He brought the harvest back to a simple garage winery to handcraft wines they knew people would enjoy as much as they did. Cartlidge & Browne wines soon began to garner raves from critics and wine lovers alike.

Rickshaw

Rickshaw

RICKSHAW is true to its varietal character, steers clear of heavy handed tricks in the cellar, and over-delivers in every possible way. We source our fruit from diverse appellations across California from sustainable vineyards, enabling us to choose and craft the highest quality wine at the best price possible.
Our Chardonnay hails from cooler climate areas, but a touch of oak gives it a rich texture which brings the zippy acidity into natural balance. Our Pinot Noir is a classic expression of the grape, also hailing from cooler climates with that California kiss of juicy fruit. And finally, the Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits a beefier texture with plush weight and full throttle flavors.

Banshee

Banshee

Banshee was founded in 2009 at a bar in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco by three young wine industry veterans who pooled their money to start producing cool climate Pinot Noir in the Sonoma Coast. The initial intent was to make wines that tasted like the best California had to offer, but were priced so that everyone could enjoy them. Venturing west to Healdsburg a few years later, they developed strong relationships with the owners and growers of some of the best and most coveted vineyards in Sonoma. Working closely with the vineyard teams, Banshee produces wines of depth, purity and balance. Today, the Banshee mission remains the same as it was in the early days – to craft distinctive wines that over-deliver in every possible way
