Pioneer if the heart of Beaujolais. In the south of Burgundy, the region of Beaujolais has been producing some of the finest wines for decades. The unique granite soils of the northern Beaujolais are the perfect partner for these wines to showcase their versatility and their ability to produce a wine that is rich, intense and ready to drink young. Maison Jean-Loron traces its beginning back to the birth of Jean Loron a winegrower in the "Cru" of Chenas in 1711. Unlike his parents who worked with various crops like most farmers at the time, Jean decided to specialize in viticulture. This was the beginning of a legacy for Jean that would expand to encompass new regions, new domains and always include family. Today they continue to be family owned and operated by the ninth generation of wine growers from Beaujolais. Today Jean Loron is one of the largest and most important vineyard owners with over 336 acres in six of the "Crus."
